Application/Candidate/Citizenship Requirements:
In order to be considered for an IEEE-USA Congressional Fellowship, applicants must: Be U.S. citizens at the time of selection, Be IEEE members in good standing at Member grade or higher for at least four years, Have ten years' responsible experience in engineering practice, university teaching, or independent research. Applicants are credited two years for a master's degree or five years for a doctoral degree in engineering or a qualified science.
In order to be considered for an IEEE-USA Engineering and Diplomacy Fellowship, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements: IEEE Membership in good standing (Member Grade or higher); U.S. citizenship; PhD and/or 10+ years professional experience. Fellows at certain agencies will be subject to extensive background checks.
